Search giant Google has launched a beta of the UK version of its shopping search technology, Froogle.
The site looks like its Google parent in design with the addition of links to recent popular product searches on the home page.
At the time of writing, shoppers had just successfully tracked down a diamond ring, some bamboo plants and a pair of suede Ugg boots.
Users are shown photos of relevant products to their searches, price information and links to the vendor. Results can be sorted by price or limited to user-defined price ranges.
"We developed Froogle UK so that online shoppers could quickly and easily locate the products they are looking for, from the most obscure to the most popular," said Cosmos Nicolaou, engineering director at Google, in a statement.
"As Google continues to explore opportunities to bring more of the world's information to users in more countries and more languages, Froogle UK enables us to provide the UK market with the tools they need for a better online shopping experience today and into this holiday season."
