ThinkFree is an online office suite that can be used on any PC with an internet connection.
It offers word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software, all of which is stored on a web server, not on a PC.
Java software needs to be downloaded for ThinkFree to work. Registration is currently free, but as it's still in testing, there may be one or two minor bugs. We didn't find any but don't rule it out.
The idea of working online means you can't access documents without an internet connection, but it makes collaboration with other users and groups much easier.
A number of editing tools need to be downloaded on first use, but these worked well, and completed documents can be published on your personal ThinkFree homepage.
In essence, ThinkFree provides a good set of basic office tools but advanced users might find it a little restrictive. However, as it's free, there's no harm in giving it a go.
