Take a trip back in time to 1917, when fighter planes were still made of canvas and wood, and dogfighting was a common sight in the skies.

You play the role of a prospective "flying ace" - those lucky few who became famous through their antics on the airborne battlefields. Armed with a biplane fitted with machine guns, it is your task to rid the skies of any enemies that invade your airspace - and make a name for yourself in the process.

Just like in the real-thing you can bank, roll, loop, twist and turn your bi-plane to try and outwit your opponent and gain the advantage. For great gameplay Biplane Ace makes use of screenwrap, which means that when your plane reaches the edge of the screen it simply flies right on, appearing on the opposite side of the screen.

You have full control over the game settings, enabling you to alter various attributes such as plane speed, controls and sound effects.

You also have a choice of opponent, either the computer or another player. Choose the computer and you'll be in for a challenge - after each defeat its skill improves, making for a more formidable opponent.

Select the two-player option and you can actually compete against a friend who also has Biplane Ace via infra-red! That's right, actually play a real, live opponent using the built-in infra-red technology of the Palm. Fantastic fun.

From a bird's-eye view, the game is extremely rich in detail: there's a great representation of the sky, complete with floating clouds and a great backdrop of the ground below. Add to this other nice touches such as smoke, fire, and even parachuting pilots escaping doomed planes, and you have one great game that will keep your finger on the trigger for hours.
