If you're looking for a way to give your PC some personality, try designing your own icons. ArtIcon Pro gives you unrivalled access to every icon on your PC for editing, and allows you to create your own icon libraries.
Icons can be created/edited in both standard and custom sizes, in up to 16 million colours, except in Windows XP where a 32-bit colour depth is possible.
The program works like a traditional graphics package, except that graphics are drawn on grids pixel by pixel. All the usual tools are there - paintbrush, shape and line tools, colour picker and even a transparency tool.
Icons can be exported in other formats, including BMP and JPEG, GIF and Photoshop PSD files.
On the editing side it is possible to paste multiple graphics formats into ArtIcon for use as an icon, and BMP and JPEG images can be opened too.
A more basic version of ArtIcons is available that has slightly less functionality and therefore costs less. It includes fewer export options, no drag-and-drop support and no drop shadow, rotate, roll and mirror effects (see website, below, for more details).
