Invisible Secrets is actually six applications, neatly packaged together to provide complete privacy and security for the digital age.
Hide/unhide files, encrypt/decrypt files, send encrypted email, shred data, lock applications and securely store passwords.
Using steganographic techniques, Invisible Secrets lets you hide one file in another to fool any unwanted snoopers. Five 'carrier' file formats are provided (Jpeg, PNG, BMP, HTML and WAV), and more can be created.
Files can be encrypted and decrypted using cryptography, ensuring that the file cannot be opened without the correct password. Eight strong AES encryption algorithms are provided, including Rijndael, Blowfish, Twofish, RC4, Cast 128 and GOST.
Email encryption facilities allow you to create self-decrypting emails that can only be opened by recipients who know the correct password. To help with security, Invisible Secrets includes a Password Transfer tool that uses an encrypted internet line to send passwords securely. You will need to know the IP address of the PC you are sending to.
Shred data with the DoD 5220.22-M compliant shredding capabilities. This facility can be used to erase individual files/folders or erase your internet traces (Internet Explorer only).
Applications can be 'locked' (password protected) to prevent unauthorised use, and even removed them the Start Menu.
Finally, a password manager securely stores all your passwords.
