O2 names its new CFO

O2 has appointed Ronan Dunne to the position of chief finance officer with immediate effect.

Previously head of finance at parent company mmO2, Dunne will report to newly appointed CEO Matthew Key, who formerly held the CFO role.

Dunne has held senior financial positions in banking and the corporate sector, most recently as head of strategic finance and integration at Exel.

Dunne said: 'I am very much looking forward to my new role as CFO, developing and extending the financial performance of the business and aligning costs to customer value.'

Dunne is a trustee of the mmO2 pension scheme, a non-executive director of Manx Telecom, a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland (ICAI), a member of the ICAI Council and a member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers.
