Office 2007 made a radical break from the past by replacing the old menus and toolbars with the dynamic Ribbon.

As well as giving more space for bigger icons, the Ribbon changes to match whatever it is that you are working on. The disadvantage is that it is not really possible to customise the Ribbon without help. Ribbon Customizer has been written for this purpose.

Installation is simple and the tool is accessed through an icon in the View tab of the Ribbon. The main window allows you to select extra groups of icons to display in the different Ribbon tabs, including the dynamic ones.

Ribbon Customizer also comes with the Classic UI tabs that recreate the old menus and toolbars of previous versions of Office within a separate tab.
