I recently bought a new computer with the 64-bit edition of Vista Home Premium installed.

I downloaded the free Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 and tried to install it. I was informed that I need the 64-bit version. Can you tell me where I can obtain this, as I would like to install Windows XP on the new computer, using a virtual machine.

Michael Thompson

You need to use the correct version of Virtual PC to match the version of Windows your computer has installed. For most of us, who are using 32-bit versions of Windows XP and Windows Vista, it’s not a problem. For the rest, you will need the 64-bit edition of Virtual PC. Both versions of Virtual PC can be downloaded.
