If you don't already know the benefits of Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB), we recommend you head down to your nearest electrical store for a demonstration. As well as sounding miles better than FM radio, it's incredibly easy to tune and provides text-based station and show information.

The Bush Personal DAB Radio is a perfect example of this but also has the added advantage of being portable. To tune a station, simply select 'Autoscan' from the menu. The player will then automatically find and store all available DAB signals in the area.

And that's it really. You can add stations to a favourites list or sort them alphanumerically.

Physically, the player is quite bulky but feels solid. It's not the smallest player we've seen, but it works well. There are six EQ settings to choose from and the screen lights up with a blue backlight, so you can read station information in the dark.

The supplied earphones offer acceptable sound quality but those with an ear for detail may want to replace them.
