Sumvision has crammed a multitude of features into this little device, which is about the size of a pack of chewing gum. Its 1Gb digital music player has space for roughly 16 hours of MP3 files, and there is also an FM radio at your disposal.

The menu system is simple and intuitive: the mode button at the top of the device controls all its functions, and scrolling between playback, radio and recording modes is done at the touch of a button.

The colour backlit screen displays the song title, album name and artist, and other track information.

The device plugs directly into a computer's USB port for easy copying of music. There is also a voice recorder and file storage with password protection.

Sound quality is reasonable and while the supplied earphones are fiddly, they do offer decent sound quality.

In all, the SumVision is a player well worth its price tag.
