Saitek's 3D 210 speakers are a small stereo set with a quality far beyond what we would expect from anything this size.
The slightly unusual shape of the speakers means they can be put on a desk in several ways. One is suited to a shelf at head height or higher, something normally forgotten by manufacturers.
Easy-to-use controls should not cause any confusion: both a volume dial, doubling as the power switch, and the bass level control are well labelled.
Leads to the computer and between the speakers are fixed and cannot be replaced, but damage is less of a worry than whether they are long enough. An extension cable would probably be needed if the speakers are to be installed on a shelf and the computer is on the floor.
Both music and games were handled well by the 3D 210s: the sound was full-bodied and only bass-heavy tracks showed any of the hollowness that normally hinders small speakers.
The speakers are also very cheap at just £20. If surround sound is not important, these are a very good buy.
