Navman has unveiled four new satellite navigation devices, three of which allow you to search for locations by photo.

All four products share a new design, which like similar products from Garmin and TomTom, now use only touchscreen controls rather than buttons on the front of the device. They also include a new dashboard mount that folds in half for easier storage.

The three top end devices, the S50, S70 and S90i, work with online photo sharing service Flickr, giving users access to over 26 million photos that have latitude and longitude information attached.

Users can search for a location on their PC using the NavDesk software, choose a photo of that location and then use sat nav system to drive there.

The S50, S70 and S90i devices all have a 4.3” touchscreen and can connect to a Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone to work as a hands free speakerphone. The range-topping S90i includes a TMC receiver, so it can receive traffic information, and a digital camera that can record photographs with latitude and longitude information.

The S50 will cost £180, while the S70 and S90i, which will include full European maps, will sell for £200 and £300 respectively.

An entry-level £150 device with a 3.5” touchscreen, the S30, was also announced.

Navman said the S30, S50 and S70 will become available this month, with the S90i due in October.
