Logitech unveils new peripherals at CES

New products designed to bring more control to a variety of devices

Written by Andrea-Marie Vassou

Logitech has launched a range of gadgets to make watching films and playing games easier.

The Logitech Harmony One is a universal remote control with a 5.6cm full-colour touch screen, which can be used for PCs, video consoles and stereos as well as TVs.

Users touch an icon on the screen such as Watch a DVD to turn on the TV, the DVD player, and the AV receiver. The £170 device also displays a list of favourite TV stations.

The £100 Logitech Dinovo wireless mini-keyboard is small enough to fit in the palm of a hand and also doubles up as a remote control, with a dedicated button to launch Windows Media Centre. It can also be used to add text and surf the internet when using a Sony Playstation 3 console.

Topping the range, at £280, is the Logitech Squeezebox Duet. This remote control and wireless receiver has been designed to let people access and control digital music from their PC anywhere in the home.

To access music tracks, the receiver must be placed next to the PC. The user can then scrolls through music playlists and internet radio stations.

All the devices go on sale in February.
