Creative launches MP3 Players with speakers

Good news for users but less so for those around them?

Written by Andrea-Marie Vassou

Creative has launched a range of MP3 players with built-in speakers.

The Creative Zen Stone and Creative Zen Stone Plus have a rechargeable battery which claims to have up to 20 hours of playback time. Both have FM radio, microphone, clock and stopwatch and the Plus also has a LCD screen.

Those who want to listen to their music privately can also plug in headphones, but these are not included.

Both support WMA as well as unprotected AAC music files and come with a free skin with a clip attached to it.

The 2GB Creative Zen Stone, which holds up to 1,000 songs, costs £30. The Creative Zen Stone Plus costs £38 for the 2GB and £50 for the 4GB, which can hold up to 2,000 songs. They come in pink, black, champagne and blue, and will be available from March.
