Pure has launched what it claims is an environmentally-friendly digital radio alarm clock.

The Pure Chronos iDock includes a DAB digital radio and an iPod dock. Users can choose to be woken by digital or FM radio, an iPod track or a traditional alarm. The clock has four alarms that can be set on weekdays, weekends or for a single day only.

The company claims that the alarm clock has been designed and manufactured to minimise environmental impact. In standby mode it uses less than 1W of power, and the packaging and documents are made from recycled or sustainable materials. It comes with a remote control and costs £100.
