The Family Health Encyclopedia is a reference guide to all common aliments and general good health practice in the home. It's a breeze to use: you can click on any word or image to access more information about it.
Initially you are given a choice between researching common ailments and diets, or selecting a part of the body to research an illness by clicking on pictures. These are categorised by age and sex, then by section of the body. When you've chosen the location there is much more specific information available. The program has more than 2,500 pages of information with details on over 800 ailments and disorders.
The accompanying information regarding an illness is comprehensive and there are usually plenty of natural and homeopathic remedies suggested that might help or alleviate the symptoms. However, because of the huge range of illnesses some of the information is a little too brief and the CD is certainly no substitute for an expert medical opinion.
