Whitbread has signed a five-year telecoms contract with Energis which will save the brewing giant 20% on phone bills. As part of the #7.5 million contract, the telco will supply a managed virtual private network across 20 business sites, as well as public network telephony. Whitbread network strategy and programme manager Derek Risk said the system will allow the company to track its telephone traffic. 'Energis' advanced billing and free management reports will give us the freedom to monitor how we use the telephone,' he said.
