HBOS streamlines printing process

Bank hopes to increase efficiency by improving print management of over three billion pages

Written by Angelica Mari

HBOS has started a document management programme to cover the three billion pages that are expected to be printed by the bank’s 70,000 employees over a six-year period.

Supplier Ikon will provide a desktop printing system, which will aim to move printing processes away from printers and on to multi-functional devices through a rules-based printing platform.

The vendor will also carry out a user education campaign to ensure smooth transition.

“The desktop printing solution will increase productivity and efficiency in all areas of the HBOS group,” said the bank’s head of print management services Ian Millington.
