ECopy unveils online training tool

Document imaging firm claims product will help VARs with their 'solution-selling' techniques

Written by Laura Hailstone

Document image specialist eCopy has launched an interactive online training tool that it has claimed will help resellers sell its range of products that integrate paper documents into enterprise software applications.

The automated learning tool, called eCopy College, is designed to supplement eCopy instructor-led courses, with seven sales and 12 technical modules.

Justin Bailey, eCopy’s regional sales manager UK, told CRN: “Our products work with multifunction printers [MFPs] and Twain-supported document scanners, so our route to market is through the manufacturers of these products. Our partners in the UK are Canon, Toshiba and Ricoh.

“ECopy College is simple to use and is available 365 days a year. It will help VARs develop ‘solution-selling’ techniques. These include how to perform discovery work in a customer environment and match MFP or scanner products with eCopy products to provide integrated solutions.”

Chas Moloney, associate director of marketing at Ricoh UK, said: “The online training programme is an ideal way to educate our dealers about the capabilities of eCopy technology on Ricoh products. The knowledge that resellers will acquire from this tool will support them in their sales, and will in turn increase revenue.”
