Support services duo join DiVitas portfolio

Fixed-mobile convergence vendor continues to build up its UK distribution partnerships

Written by Doug Woodburn

Fixed-mobile convergence (FMC) vendor DiVitas Networks has bolstered its UK channel with the appointment of two service delivery partners.

DiVitas, which already works with distributors Ampito and 802 Global, has signed eight VARs to its partner programme since launching its UK operation in September.

The vendor is now adding support services companies 5i and Itec Consultancy to its distribution line-up in an effort to raise its standing among IP telephony resellers.

Gordon Young, vice-president of sales for Europe and North America, said: “5i is a well-respected Cisco Call Manager sales operation and Cisco IP telephony works well with DiVitas for FMC. It can also provide access to the Cisco VAR channel and offer support services.”

DiVitas is close to formalising ties with Itec, which would give it access to non-Cisco IP telephony VARs. Both 5i and Itec will buy through Ampito, added Young.

“We are trying to build a well-rounded channel to which we can add the correct skills,” Young said.

Peter Howells, managing director of 5i, which works exclusively through resellers, said DiVitas’s dual-mode technology will be particularly appealing to VARs serving the local government and construction sectors.

“We are finding that our partners and their customers are looking for the next generation of applications,” he said. “We will be working with our reseller base to take this technology to market.”

Young said DiVitas is also looking for a pan-European distributor.
