Brocade looks to Horizon contract

Firms strike distribution deal

Written by kayleigh bateman

Horizon Data Management has entered into a sub-distribution agreement with storage vendor Brocade to market and sell products to its reseller base.
Under the terms of the deal, Horizon will supply Brocade’s SAN and File Area Network (FAN) product lines to its storage VARs and system integrator partners.
Brocade’s SAN switch enables firms to manage shared resources and the vendor’s FAN range offers IT managers a solution to managing its file data and network storage.
Simon Welch, marketing director at Horizon, said: “Horizon will be offering a full suite of products, including switching and routing, and Brocade’s infrastructure products will be sold as part of a solution package.”
Barbara Spicek, director of partner sales for EMEA at Brocade, said: “Horizon aims to focus on the high-end and mid-market, choosing not to address SMEs in particular.”
