Acronis signs Commtech in Ireland

Vendor wraps up first Irish distribution deal

Written by kayleigh bateman

Storage management software vendor Acronis has appointed Commtech as its first distributor for Ireland.
Under the terms of the agreement, Commtech will distribute the full Acronis True Image (ATI) product range in addition to the Snap Deploy and Disk Director Server.
Kevin Moreau, general manager at Acronis UK and Ireland, said: “Acronis wanted to penetrate the Irish market and Commtech is a good match for its size and focus. It is a partner of VMware and is therefore very channel focused.
“Commtech also matches our product portfolio as we both focus on disaster recovery, migration and virtualisation. The products distributed will be aimed at all areas of the market, ranging from enterprise to small businesses.”
Moreau said Acronis and Commtech will run monthly workshops to educate resellers on both their portfolios and the market opportunity available to them.
Acronis will also provide Commtech with technical support and training, plus direct sales support for the distributor’s key clients.
Fran Ryan, senior product manager at Commtech, said: “Acronis’s backup and recovery products fit well into our portfolio and we were impressed by its ATI software technology.”
