Quantix sets the juice loose

Oracle VAR bags managed services deal with soft drinks producer

Written by Nick Booth

Oracle partner Quantix has won a contract to offer support and managed services
to soft drinks producer Gerber Juices.

Quantix convinced the client it would get a return on investment in the form of a
£100,000 cost saving every year by using remote Oracle Support Services.

Throughout the contract Gerber Juices will have access to extensive Oracle
monitoring, remote Oracle DBA Services, DR best practice and 24X7 helpdesk
services.

Simon Goodenough, sales director at Quantix, said: “We invested a lot of time understanding their business issues and made sure our core services would deliver the necessary return, both technically and commercially."

The contract includes support for a number of key Microsoft SQL Server instances
and will see Quantix help Gerber Juices migrate to a virtualised environment.

Julian Sterling, group I.S director of Gerber Juice, said: “Quantix Managed Services gives us the range, depth and access to Oracle skills we need to support our key operational systems.”
