UK-based audiovisual distributor expands to the new territory of South Africa with Johannesburg office

Written by Sara Yirrell

Audiovisual (AV) distributor Imago Group has celebrated the launch of its new video communications distribution business in South Africa.

The latest addition to the growing Imago family will have offices and demonstration facilities in Jahannesburg, and will be the official distributor for a full range of video communication and internet television products.

Ian Vickerage, managing director of Imago, said: "We are very proud to announce this new venture in South Africa. Videoconferencing brings people together in a unique way and this technology is perfectly suited to a thriving country where the main business centres such as Johannesburg , Durban and Cape Town - are so far away from each other”.

He added: “After extensive research, we have hired the best people available, including Clint Cronje as our managing director, Marius van Wyk as head of technical services and Dirk Schreuder as head of sales. We believe that Imago’s new investment in the region will be good for us and good for South African business."
