Tech Data completes Scribona acquisition

Computer 2000's parent company finally completes deal signed earlier this year

Tech Data has completed its acquisition of certain assets of Nordic broadline distributor Scribona.

The distribution behemoth will pay approximately $60m plus a $23m premium for the net value of the transferred assets including inventory, vendor agreements, customer lists, office equipment and other assets. The purchase price will be paid over a six-month period.

Robert Dutkowsky, chief executive of Tech Data, said: "The completion of this acquisition represents an important step for Tech Data in our strategy to drive growth and leverage our infrastructure in the European region.

“With this transaction, we penetrate new value-add product lines and solutions and expand our presence as a leading IT distributor in the Nordics.”
