Computerlinks brings the Ruckus

Distributor adds wireless LAN vendor’s ZoneFlex products to e-Business portfolio

Written by Doug Woodburn

Wireless LAN vendor Ruckus Wireless has appointed Computerlinks to carry its ZoneFlex product range in the UK and Ireland.

Computerlinks will include Ruckus, which claims to fill the gap between consumer Wi-Fi access points and high-end enterprise WLAN systems, within its e-Business division.

The distributor claimed Ruckus would complement enterprise WLAN technology already featured in its portfolio, such as Siemens' HiPath products.

David Caughtry, e-Business director at Computerlinks, said: “Ruckus addresses a great channel opportunity in the SMB market, offering the perfect solution for a company that wants more than just a simple, router based Wi-Fi access point, which are often restrictive in their coverage and functionality.”

James Calderbank, director of enterprise sales, EMEA at Ruckus, said: “Computerlinks has an excellent reputation in the industry and its extensive network of channel partners will enable us to bring reliable and affordable Wi-Fi networks to SMBs. These organisations have traditionally been overlooked.”
