VIP becomes a Billionaire

Taiwanese networking vendor Billion awards UK distribution rights to VIP

Written by Nick Booth

Components distributor VIP Computer Centre is to distribute Billion networking products.

Mark Lynch, product manager at VIP Computers, claims this is not just another
networking product. It has won awards, he argued, because it is feature packed
but surprisingly user-friendly. Since it is good value for money too, he said,
this creates the potential for good reseller margins.

“Partnering with Billion means we can offer the channel top end solutions at
realistic prices, which will differentiate us,” he said.

At the top end of the range is the Billion BiPAC 7300GX wireless router which
supports 3G back-up and provides high-speed internet access for web browsing,
e-mail and file sharing and is ideal for multi-tasking applications.

Billion sales and marketing director, Julian de Selincourt, claimed
the range should fit in with VIP's portfolio. "We are positioning the brand as
the Premier fixed and mobile router manufacturer for home, SOHO and SME customers.”
