With more features than you could shake a stick at, System Lifeguard is split into five sections, each containing numerous optimising tools./p>
The Clean Computer section includes options to remove junk files, large files, old files, empty folders and broken links. It also features an Internet Privacy tool for deleting cache, cookies, recent URLs, page history and recent documents.
The System Configuration section includes a Startup Manager, Shutdown Manager, System Tweak and an Uninstall Programs feature. These let you add or remove startup items, create auto-shutdown options, tweak elements such as Start Menu entries, boot menu and Explorer layout, and remove applications respectively.
A Data Backup feature lets you backup folders or files either locally or remotely. There is no scheduling facility though, and it all has to be done manually.
An Advanced Features menu lets you compare duplicate files, split or combine files, defrag your hard drive(s) and clean out your Registry (simple and advanced modes).
Finally, a Restore deleted files facility lets you restore any files you may have deleted using the Secure Delete options in the program.
The interface is easy to get to grips with, and a scheduling facility lets you automate the following functions: Registry Cleaner, Internet Privacy, Folder Cleaner and Junk Files.
