The number one enemy of PC case fans is the dust that builds up on the blades over time.
A fan coated in a thick layer of dust not only looks bad, but also impacts on the fan's cooling performance. What makes matters worse is that most fans are incredibly fiddly to clean.
Enermax has come up with a solution to this problem with its Warp series of fans. By applying gentle pressure, the entire blade assembly can be popped off, allowing you to clean the dust from the frame as well as the blades.
It's not exactly rocket science, but it works. Of course, you'll still have to clean the fans regularly, although it should be a fairly painless process.
Enermax also supplies a fan speed controller that screws into the fan's frame.
There are three fans in the Enermax range: 120cm UC-12AEBS (£9); 92cm UC-9AEBS (£7); and 80cm UC-8AEBS (£5).
