Toshiba's 200GB MK2035GSS 2.5in hard drive has been around for a while but its price now makes it a very attractive upgrade for notebook users and those building small and thin silent PCs.

Should you have a 2.5in external enclosure, it also works well as portable storage.

At just 9.5mm high and weighing a mere 98g, the MK2035GSS uses PMR (perpendicular magnetic recording) technology to cram its capacity onto just two discs.

It comes with a Sata2 interface (150MBytes/sec), a 4,200rpm spin speed, an 8MB cache and a quoted average seek time of 12ms.
