MatheMax is a neat program aimed at helping young children grasp the basic skills needed at an early age.
It has several methods for your child to practise counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and various combinations (addition and multiplication, for example).
Simply select the desired option at the beginning, define which factors you wish to test, and away you go.
A log file is included should you wish to keep a record of the child's progress through the tests, and in case he or she isn't sure of an answer, there's a button that automatically shows the answer.
Some nice sound effects and graphics are displayed when correct answers are provided, as well as at the end of a test session.
Each session contains 10 questions, which is short enough to learn a thing or two while retaining the child's attention.
This is a multi-lingual program, in English, German, Spanish, Italian and Swedish.
