MP3 Surgeon performs basic editing functions on MP3 files, including adding fade in/fade out effects, normalising tracks, and trimming/converting files.
A nice interface displays all the info you need, including ID3 Tag details, bitrate and file size, with options to hide elements that are of no interest.
The program is split into four sections: Visual Editor, MP3 Joiner, MP3 - WAV Converter and MP3 Catalog, with each section dedicated to a specific task.
Visual Editor lets you add markers to MP3s, allowing them to be split, trimmed or altered. MP3 Joiner does the opposite, enabling two or more separate tracks to be combined.
The MP3 - WAV converter does exactly that: it converts MP3 files into WAV files. Converted files can either be placed next to the original MP3 files, or in a separate folder.
Finally MP3 Catalog allows all the important information about your MP3 collection to be collated into a Comma Separated Value file, ready for use in an application such as Excel.
A Batch option is also featured, allowing the same normalisation and fade in/out levels to be applied to multiple MP3s simultaneously.
