There are many contact managers around, but if you want one that is user-friendly yet powerful then A-book is worth a look.
A-book offers you two simultaneous methods of storing and viewing contacts. You can simply browse the alphabetical list to display all contacts beginning with 'P' for example, or create a hierarchical tree of different contact books - one for friends and one for business, for example.
A single contact can be placed into multiple books too, which can be handy.
When entering a new contact a wealth of information can be entered, conveniently split into sections. Categories include General, Business, Home and Personal. This allows you to store multiple emails, web URLs and telephone numbers for each person.
It even has fields for ICQ numbers, birthdays and anniversaries, and more.
Data can be imported or exported in all commonly used formats, and contacts can be saved as vCards for emailing etc.
It can also be used to dial contacts' phone numbers if your PC is set up to handle this, and supports the setting up of a speed dial list.
New features in version 3.1 include synchronisation with Pocket PC devices, and the ability to navigate contacts via the keyboard.
