Ashampoo's CD Recording Suite is intended to make the process of copying or compiling CDs as easy as possible, and without doubt it succeeds.
This simplicity doesn't mean that the software is any less sophisticated. Okay, it doesn't offer the numerous options of applications such as Easy CD Creator, but it is more than adequate for the home user.
Whether you wish to copy a CD, compile a new CD, or add files to an existing CD, you simply select the right option from the intro screen and follow the on-screen instructions.
Drive support is good, with over 1,500 different drives catered for. File support is limited to WAV, MP3 and Ogg Vorbis and, of course, CD Audio when copying a CD.
CD copying can be performed 'on the fly' or by firstly creating an image on your hard drive. It can also produce 'multi-session' CDs that can be constantly added to.
