Undelete 5 works slightly differently to many other recovery tools in that it replaces the Windows Recycle Bin with a Recovery Bin. Any files you delete are sent here.
This ensures that every file you delete is recoverable, and you can specify the maximum amount of disk space to allocate to the Recovery Bin (20 per cent of disk volume by default). Once the allocated space is full, files are deleted on a first in, first out basis to make room for new files.
A neat feature is Version Protection which lets you recover overwritten versions of Microsoft Office files. You can even preview the various versions before recovery.
On top of all this, it can recover files deleted before Undelete was installed (not in the trial download), and a SecureDelete function lets you erase a file so that is beyond recovery.
