With the popularity of blogs showing no slowdown, and an increasing number of us turning to RSS for our all our information needs, the demand for personalized content tools has never been greater.
Newzie, an all in one RSS and Atom aggregator, certainly doesn’t shy away in attempting to meet these demands.
As well as being able to monitor hundreds of news stories with the reader, Newzie offers slideshows, highlights and virtual channels to help you quickly retrieve the content you want.
Colour-coded track panes prioritise news by most recently published, whilst the HTML scraper monitors newly added content on websites that don’t support RSS. Add a download and bookmark manager, a clean up tool, and what you have is a very comprehensive and competent personal content manager.
The only drawback is that, with all these features, the interface often feels cluttered and finding your way around can be a little frustrating at times.
However, this is only a minor flaw and will surly not deter the burgeoning list of RSS users.
