O&O DiskRecovery 4 can recover data from all drives supported and recognized by Windows. This includes internal and external hard disks, digital cameras, MP3 players, USB and Memory sticks, memory cards, CDs, DVDs, and floppy disks.
The new version offers expanded support of recognizable file types. In particular, support for OLE2 files, such as Word and Excel, has been improved. The entry of user-defined file signatures for has also been overhauled, allowing for the use of placeholders and a new HexEdit control. The all-new file preview function assists users in identifying various image and text file formats, making the data recovery process easier and quicker than ever. In addition, scans for deleted data can now be limited according to file size, reducing the software's drain on system resources during a data recovery.
