Monitors are so cheap these days. It’s really easy to pick up a decent 20” monitor for under £300 if you look around carefully. For this price you could set up two 20” monitors and then use a virtual desktop manager which will enable you to manage two desktops, across both screens.
If you’re a developer, this would enable you to use one screen for tweaking your code and another screen for testing your application. Or, how about you use one screen for running Windows and another screen for Linux, within a virtual environment? Alternatively, you could use one screen for editing audio tracks, whilst the other screen contains your video editor. The options are endless.
VirtuaWin is a virtual desktop manager that enables you to create virtual desktops and then quickly switch between each desktop.
VirtuaWin resides within your Windows System Tray so you can quickly switch between open desktops.
