If you’re an Apple Bootcamp user, running Windows Vista or Windows XP on your Intel Mac, you might have forgotten than your hard drive contains a partition that has Mac OS X installed. On that partition, you might have images, music and other files that you would like to access through Windows.
MacDrive is a tool that you install within Windows and enables you to read and write to a Mac OS X formatted partition. For instance, this partition could be on your current hard drive or could easily be an external USB drive that you connect to your PC.
It’s all seamless, too. You don’t know you’re access a Mac partitioned drive, apart from the little Apple symbol that MacDrive uses within Windows to show it is a Mac formatted drive.
MacDrive will support more than hard drives. If you have a Mac formatted CD or DVD, you can read the contents through Windows. Mac formatted iPods, ZIP or USB drives will also work.
The latest MacDrive 7.2 now supports Windows Vista 64-bit Edition as well as containing a number of small fixes and updates.
