Built from the ground up for the Mac, VMware Fusion leverages nearly a decade of virtualization expertise to harness the full power of your Mac hardware, while still supporting Windows-only applications, USB 2.0 devices, 64-bit, and accelerated 3D graphics.
This is the latest and first preview of Fusion 2 for your Mac that will enable you to use a virtual operating system on a second monitor. If you own more than one monitor, or work across two monitors, you could open Windows as a virtual OS on one and then use your Mac on the other.
Within Fusion 2 Preview 1, you can now import a virtual machine from Parallels or the old Microsoft Virtual PC (for Mac). There is also the option to convert your existing Bootcamp partition in to a virtually hosted operating system.
Other highlights in this first preview include the facility to print from a printer connected to your Mac, from within Windows, without having to set up access within Windows. The user-interface has had a makeover and it’s now more Mac-like than ever. In addition, there are many minor improvements to networking, unity and more.
Note that this is just the first public preview of Fusion 2 for the Mac. You either need to use your existing Fusion 1.x serial code or obtain a beta serial code from the VMware website.
