US ecommerce providers invade Europe

Written by Newswire Editor

US Internet giants, Yahoo and Beyond.com have both separately extended ecommerce services to Europe.

Yahoo has added three additional European auction sites to its international lineup. The sites in Italy, Spain and Sweden will join existing services in France, Germany, Sweden, the UK and Ireland to enable bidders and sellers to do business on the Web. Users are not charged commissions or listings fees.

Among the services offered by the site include areas dedicated to small businesses and Mac users, a 30 day trial period, plus phone and email support in local languages.
