The legitimate owner of porn site sex.com has put a bounty on the head of the cybersquatter who he claims stole his domain name and then absconded without paying damages.
The long, drawn out sex.com domain name dispute, which has lasted five years, finished in April when a US court found Stephen Cohen guilty of illegally obtaining ownership of the domain sex.com.
Cohen was ordered to pay £45m in damages to Gary Kremen, the legitimate owner of the name.
At the time, Kremen said the outcome proved that the internet was not "lawless wasteland". But Cohen has since failed to appear to pay the damages, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
The situation has prompted Kremen to offer a £35,000 reward for anyone with information on the whereabouts of Cohen. He was quoted as saying he would "gladly pay out if it means putting the man who stole millions from me behind bars once and for all".
