The hugely popular TV show Pop Idol is putting the final touches to the potential winner's website.
One of the show's judges, Simon Cowell, head of artists and repertoire at BMG Records, under the RCA label, has signed up URLs under the names of the show's two finalists Will Young and Gareth Gates. The URLs are www.will-youngonline.com and www.gareth-gatesonline.com.
BMG UK new media manager Jon Davis said: "Pop Idol is the biggest brand of the year so far, so this is a really big one for us."
The site, which is being designed by Good Technology, will be given the finishing touches following the show's final airing on 9 February, and must be completed by 11 February.
The site will feature a range of premium and mobile content, which will use reverse SMS billing and interactive voice recognition systems.
BMG is expected to work with third parties on most of the premium content offers, which will include the likes of 'instant gratification' content costing in the region of £1 or £2.
The winner's first single is earmarked for release on 25 February.
