Bush spooks ogle Britney

Secret Service agent surfs fan sites on duty

Written by Nick Farrell

A US webmaster was stunned when he discovered that his Britney Spears website was being monitored by spooks in the White House.

Daniel Rhodes said he created his Britney site to draw users to his main website, but after looking over the visitor logs he found that he had netted more than the odd Britney fan.

"I found that the US government had accessed the site. This aroused my interest greatly as I could not imagine what business the US government has in a Britney Spears fan site," Rhodes has told visitors to his website.

After looking at the codes he discovered that the visitor had been from the executive office of the president.

"I wondered to myself: is the president surfing Britney Spears fan sites? I looked a little further at the subdomain ['sseop102']. Since there was a repeat of the EOP, I disregarded that and looked at the 'SS' part. When I think about the president, and then the initials 'ss', the Secret Service comes to mind," he said.

Rhodes said he was shocked because it would appear that a secret service agent was surfing Britney Spears fan websites while on duty.

"One must wonder what exactly the agent was looking for - porn? The site was only visited once, and the agent did not appear to go any further into the site, thus indicating that they did not find what they were looking for," he said.
