Intel unveils 300-series processors

Celeron D chips run at 2.53GHz, 2.66GHz and 2.8GHz

Intel has launched three new 90nm Celeron D processors, the 325, 330 and 335.

The processors run at 2.53GHz, 2.66GHz and 2.8GHz respectively, and come with 533MHz front side bus and 256KB Level 2 cache.

All are designed for the PGA478 socket on the 865 chipset and are aimed at the ultra-value section of the market. They cost $79, $89 and $117 per chip in lots of 1,000.

Intel is soon expected to unveil Celeron processors for its recently launched 915 and 925x chipsets, formerly codenamed Grantsdale and Alderwood.
