Battlestar Galactica attacks cyberspace

Webisodes online by your command

Written by Matt Chapman

A series of original 'webisodes' for the popular science fiction show Battlestar Galactica are being released online by the SciFi Channel

The storyline is split into 10 mini-episodes to be released every Tuesday and Thursday until the US season premiere of Battlestar Galactica's third series on 6 October.

Each instalment is very short, the first episode clocking in at just over four minutes.

However, the episodes are blocked to users outside the US, although the first part has already been posted on social networking video site YouTube

The action takes place between the second and third series and viewers new to the show may not understand everything that has gone before.

To combat this, the SciFi Channel is producing a summary called The Story So Far that will appear on US TV, as well as being shown free online at the SciFi website, iTunes, YouTube and Yahoo.
