A Taiwanese manufacturer of portable MP3 players is demanding $100m in damages from Apple.
Luxpro unveiled a portable MP3 player in 2005 dubbed the Super Suffle that closely resembled Apple's iPod Shuffle.
The company later started selling the device under the Super Tangent brand, and clearly placed its corporate logo on the device.
Apple claimed that the player infringed on its iPod Shuffle design and trademark and convinced a Korean judge to ban all sales of the Luxpro player. That ruling has now been overturned.
Luxpro claims that it has missed out on substantial sales because of Apple's legal bullying, justifying its claim for $100m in retribution.
