Nokia offers mobile photo printing

Nseries users can upload pics and order direct from their device

Written by Matt Chapman

Nokia has launched a photo printing service to allow Nseries users to upload images and place an order directly from their smartphones.

The service requires the free Nokia XpressPrint application to be downloaded to the compatible devices.

Users can select the images in the phone's gallery application and insert the postal address and other requested information. The order is then processed by CeWe Color and prints are delivered to the address.

Images can be sent using the phone network at the user's standard data rates or by connecting the Nseries handheld computer to a wireless Lan.

Mikko Pilkama, director of multimedia at Nokia, said that users of compatible Nokia Nseries multimedia computers now only need one device to capture and edit images, and order prints.

"Now you can order prints directly from your Nokia N series device, and have them delivered to your doorstep hassle-free," Pilkama said.

In the UK, prints cost from 8p for a 9 x 12 image up to 69p for a 20 x 30, with a £1.69 charge for postage. The service is available now and covers most of Europe.
